The race was well organised and fun, runners were supported along the way - great - and the atmosphere was fantastic - thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of the day.
Another exciting addition to the Great Australian Run for 2009 was the Great Australian Wheelchair 10k.
Australia’s best wheelchair athletes raced around Albert Park, multiple Paralympic medallist Richard Colman (22.30.6) narrowly defeating four-time Paralympian Richard Nicholson (2.31.80) by just over a second on the 10km course. Beijing silver medallist Madi de Rozario (28.22.5) took out the women’s race.
