About the Race

The Great Australian Run took place on Sunday 29th November 2009 in Melbourne. Starting and finishing in Albert Park, the 15k route takes in some of Melbourne’s landmarks and most famous sights.

Entry costs $70 and included;

• a technical Adidas event T shirt,
• Souvenir finisher's medal
• Sponsor samples at finish
• 100% accurate computer chip timing
• Race number and full information pack
• A copy of the Sunday Herald Sun

THE ROUTE

The 15k route was measured on the ground to the highest IAAF standards demanded for world record recognition

RESULTS

All runners received an accurate run time from crossing the start line to the finish. All results can be viewed by visitng the results page

TV COVERAGE

Channel Ten & One HD transmitted a 2 hour live broadcast starting as well as being seen by countless millions around the globe when the program was later transmitted by Great Run partner stations in Europe, Africa and Asia
