WELCOME TO THE HBA Great Australian Run 2008

Join thousands of others and run alongside some of the worlds greatest athletes, including Benita Johnson and Craig Mottram through the streets and parks of Melbourne, one of the worlds landmark, destination cities. Heading up our international athletes is one of the world's greatest runners Haile Gebrselassie.

Starting in Albert Park the course will cover 15kms on Melbourne City roads, visiting some of it's most famous landmarks, before returning to Albert Park for the finish. As soon as all traffic management details are agreed in full, details will be posted here.

Channel Ten are to transmit a 90 minute live broadcast starting at 8:30am, so set those recording devices before you leave home - or get someone else to do it for you!!

The event is to be televised internationally, so your efforts will not only be shared by viewers watching Channel Ten's live 90 minute broadcast here in Australia, but also seen by millions around the globe being shown as part of the existing 'Great Run' series of programmes.
